Our Staff
Dr. Emily Hutchinson Born in Medford, WI and raised on a dairy farm, the good doctor has always had a passion for animals. After moving to South Carolina she decided that she would stick to small animal medicine, and purchased what we now know as Mountain View Veterinary Services from Dr. Shirley in 2007. She is an avid bird hunter alongside her two German Shorthaired Pointers, Barley and Oakley, as well her husband, Mark. She roots for our Tigers on game days, the Green Bay Packers, and loves the Atlanta Braves.
Jenifer has worked in the medical field since 1996, and came on to the CSR team here mid-2025. She lives in Liberty, with a menagerie of animals including a herd of deer she considers her own! Jenifer’s passion for animals led her to dabble in technician work, but feels that ultimately her skills are best utilized answering your questions and concerns at the reception desk. She helps keep our front of house running smoothly and efficiently, while always making time for an adorable new kitten.
Matthew is also a student, studying Animal and Veterinary Science at Clemson. Starting in the kennel, he has shown a strong work ethic and has been an asset to the team both clinically and in the kennels. He has a cat and a hamster, and loves opossums and raccoons. Matthew has a passion for the veterinary field and the animals it serves, and hopes to continue his impact through vet school after graduation.
Vivian has been working as a veterinary technician for over 20yrs, and has been part of the Mountain View Team the longest! She is currently employed as our Kennel Manager, but still dabbles in technician work. Vivian raises spaniels and even participated in dog shows with them before having human children. She leans on her husband for support in continuing to raise dogs while she looks after your fur babies in our kennel. She has seen many clients and patients come and go, and each one leaves a pawprint on her heart.
Tami is originally from California and relocated to South Carolina several years ago and has quickly made the area home. She came on to our CSR team in early 2025 and has been an absolute rockstar! She spends much of her free time training and competing with her border collies in dock diving and barn hunt. Her chihuahua Meriwether rules the pack like the queen she is. Tami’s blend of experience, dedication and enthusiasm makes her a valued member of our team.
Madeline is one of our part time students. She will graduate from Clemson University in May of 2026 with big plans for vet school. She adores her two cats, Willie and Penny, and shows beef cattle through Clemson’s show program. She is always striving to learn all she can, and has a strong desire to contribute to the field of veterinary medicine.
Kristen: Our technician-turned-practice manager has been on the Mountain View Team since early 2022. She has been in the veterinary field since 2012 and has always had a passion for animals. Despite her love for our furry friends, she finally got her first puppy in 2025, a golden retriever named Ciri. She was in the military for 10 years, and enjoys a good book or the shooting range.
Katelyn: Joining our team in 2022, Katelyn enjoys all the many jobs of a veterinary technician. Whether it’s surgery, labs, drop offs, or routine appointments, she strives to deliver compassionate and informative care to all pets and clients. She enjoys Jeep riding, horse-back riding, and chilling out with her own pets.
Elysia: Part of our amazing boarding kennel team, Elysia has always had a passion for animals. She joined our team mid-2025, and continues to strive to learn and add value to the team.
